The uninhabited sandbar Noorderhaaks, better known as De Razende Bol, is a place where the forces of North Sea and Wadden Sea meet. Hidden in this dynamic, untouched piece of nature is a GeoCache that only the truly adventurous reach. There are a total of two caches in this area, both accessible only by boat and therefore only to be logged during this experience. Do you want to come along?

The program

1.

Boarding location

Gather at the boarding location for the safety briefing and donning the life jackets.

2.

Through the lock

After passing the Koopvaardersschutsluis lock, we will sail up the Marsdiep via the Marinehaven.

3.

Raging Sphere

The anchor goes overboard and you enter Noorderhaaks with wet feet, heading for GC2D8F1 and then logging it.

4.

Return

We grab GC5C7ZK on the way back and then cruise back to the boarding location.

If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions or insufficient registrations, an alternative date will be offered by mutual agreement. If rescheduling is not possible, the full amount paid will be refunded.

Children’s Rate & Important Information

How nice that the youngest adventurers are coming along!
A reduced rate applies to children up to and including 10 years of age.

Please keep the following in mind for a safe cruise:
Minimum age: In connection with safety on board, a minimum age of 5 years applies.
Minimum height: A minimum height of 1.10 meters is required to be able to safely sit in the boat.
Supervision: Children must always be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 2 children per adult.

Life jackets are available for children so everyone can safely participate in the trip.

General conditions

Article 1: Definitions.

In these general terms and conditions, the following definitions shall apply:

  • L1 Experience: The company that organizes and performs sailing trips and maritime services, based in Den Helder.

  • Client: The natural or legal person who concludes an agreement with L1 Experience.

  • Participant: Any natural person participating in an experience or service organized by L1 Experience.

  • Experience: A cruise or package organized by L1 Experience, such as seal spotting, sunset experiences or day trips.

  • Service: A maritime service provided by L1 Experience, such as water cab, private charter or tender service.

  • Agreement: The agreement between L1 Experience and the client regarding the delivery of an experience or service.

Article 2: Applicability

2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all quotations, offers and agreements of L1 Experience.
2.2 By entering into an agreement or participating in an experience or service, the client and participant accept the applicability of these terms and conditions.
2.3 Any deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if agreed in writing.

Article 3: Establishment of the Agreement.

3.1 An agreement comes into effect after written or electronic confirmation by the client of an offer made by L1 Experience.
3.2 The client is obliged, when entering into the agreement, to disclose all relevant personal circumstances of itself and the participants that may affect the safe and proper conduct of the experience or service. This relates in particular to medical and conditional particulars.

Article 4: Obligations of the Participant

4.1 Participants are obliged to follow the instructions of the skipper and any crew of L1 Experience at all times.
4.2 L1 Experience maintains a minimum age of 5 years and a minimum height of 1.10 meters for participation in its cruises, unless otherwise agreed.
4.3 Children up to 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of 2 children per adult.
4.4 Participants in activities on the water must be able to swim.
4.5 Wearing the life jackets provided by L1 Experience is mandatory during the cruise.

Article 5: Liability

5.1 Participation in the experiences and services of L1 Experience is at your own risk.
5.2 L1 Experience shall not be liable for damage, loss or theft of personal property of participants.
5.3 The organizer of the cruise shall be liable for personal injury caused by negligence or reckless conduct of the skipper.
5.4 L1 Experience shall not be liable for damage resulting from force majeure, acts of third parties or the participant’s failure to follow instructions.
5.5 Liability shall in all cases be limited to a maximum of the amount paid out by the liability insurance.

Article 6: Payment

6.1 For the purchase of boating tickets, payment is made directly through the online payment system. After successful payment, the purchaser will receive a payment confirmation by e-mail. No invoices are prepared for boating trips; a receipt (receipt) can be provided upon request after the boating trip.
6.2 For other services, the client will receive an invoice after confirmation of the booking. This must be paid within the specified period. For private individuals, payment afterwards is not possible.
6.3 For bookings for a company or staff association, invoicing afterwards can be agreed upon. In that case a down payment of 50% of the total invoice amount may be required.

Article 7: Changes and Cancellation by the Client.

7.1 Changes to the agreement are possible in consultation with L1 Experience and on the basis of availability.
7.2 In case of cancellation by the client, the following cancellation fees will apply:
* More than 4 weeks before the start: 25% of the total sum.
* Within 4 to 2 weeks before the start: 50% of the total sum.
* Within 2 weeks before the start: 75% of the total sum.
* On the day of the start or in case of no-show: 100% of the total sum.

Article 8: Cancellation by L1 Experience

8.1 L1 Experience reserves the right to cancel or change an experience or service in the event of unsafe weather conditions, technical defects or other forms of force majeure.
8.2 In the event of cancellation by L1 Experience, a new date will be scheduled in consultation with the client or the amount already paid will be fully refunded.

Article 9: Complaints

9.1 Any complaints should be reported in writing to L1 Experience within 14 days of the completion of the experience or service.
9.2 L1 Experience will treat the complaint confidentially and provide a response within a reasonable time.

Article 10: Applicable law and disputes.

10.1 All agreements with L1 Experience shall be governed by Dutch law.
10.2 Disputes will initially be resolved by mutual agreement. If this is not possible, the dispute will be submitted to the competent court.

Article 11: Imagery

11.1 Photographs or video recordings may be made during cruises for promotional purposes of L1-Experience.
11.2 If a passenger objects to this, this must be made known in advance.

Article 12: Health and fitness

12.1 Participation in a RIB cruise may be physically demanding due to movement of the vessel and wave action.
12.2 Participation is not recommended for persons with:

  • back or neck pain
  • heart problems
  • Pregnancy
  • severe mobility limitations

12.3 Passengers are responsible for assessing whether participation is medically responsible.
12.4 Participation in the activities is at your own risk; the organization accepts no liability for any injury or damage sustained during or as a result of the cruise or service.

Article 13: Final provision

By purchasing tickets and using the offered services, the customer/client declares to agree to the general terms and conditions. By participating in a cruise, offered service or purchasing ticket(s), the customer declares:

  • have taken note of these general conditions
  • agree to these terms and conditions
  • follow the skipper’s safety instructions.
